The Good Housekeeping panel, comprised of ten qualified spirits experts and vodka enthusiasts, put 20 vodkas to the test. Each was tested neat and blind to eliminate brand prejudice, followed by water to dilute and soften the alcohol and enhance fundamental flavors.
They were searching for vodkas that were clean, crisp, and had a smooth mouthfeel and well-integrated alcohol content.
Vodkas were scored out of 100 and ranked into categories.
